Admissions Standards
FIRST-TIME COLLEGE STUDENTS
Indiana residents: Core 40 or Core 40 with Academic or Technical Honors and overall 2.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Out-of-state students: At least 28 college preparatory hours and overall 2.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
Overall 2.0 or higher GPA from most recent college/university. Must provide official transcripts from all previously attended colleges/ universities.
Note: If less than 26 college-level credits earned, please see “first-time college student” admission standards above.
Admissions Documents
In addition to the application for admission and application fee, students will need to provide additional admissions documents prior to review of their application.
FIRST-TIME COLLEGE STUDENTS
- High school transcripts
- Dual credit official transcripts and advanced placement (AP) scores, once available
TRANSFER STUDENTS
- Official transcripts from each previously attended college/university, including dual credit courses completed in high school
- High school transcripts (if under 26 college-level credits earned)

Once all admissions documents are submitted, please allow 2–3 weeks for an admissions decision. After an admissions decision is received, visit the New Students' website for further information on how to set up your IU Network ID, register for orientation, enroll in courses, and more!
