Go Global
Studying abroad is a great opportunity to LEARN and GROW while earning credits toward graduation and gaining experience that will impress employers and graduate schools!
IU Southeast offers faculty-led study trips every summer and spring, in places such as FRANCE and COSTA RICA. In addition, students have the opportunity to study abroad for a full semester or academic year.
Studying wildlife in the ruins of Indonesia
Omar Attum, associate professor of biology at IU Southeast, took a group of 17 students to study wildlife in the ruins of Indonesia.
Along with executing a coral watch survey, the group took daily trips to snorkel with manta rays and hike with Komodo dragons.
Business in Middle Earth
A study abroad trip to New Zealand gave Roger Howard, a 2018 graduate with dual degrees in economics and political science, unique insights into international business practices and an opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape and Tolkien-inspired village.
Through the IU Southeast School of Business and Global Academic Ventures, Howard embarked on an 11-day study abroad program based at the University of Auckland.
