Dear Friends:

Welcome to the latest issue of the IU Southeast Digital Magazine!

This year has been unlike any we have experienced. The COVID-19 pandemic turned our world upside down, and we had to make numerous and difficult decisions. In a matter of days, our campus rose to unprecedented circumstances, adapted and continued to show our dedication to our students and our campus community.

This issue of the magazine is a little different as it showcases some of the brilliant work that was done by some of our students, faculty and staff during such unprecedented circumstances. Traditionally, our summer issue is a printed magazine, but we felt the shift to digital was more appropriate at this time.

In this issue, you will find an interesting article about this year’s virtual commencement celebration, you will learn more about the unique Class of 2020 and you will read about a former student-athlete who shares his experience in Italy during the heart of the COVID-19 outbreak. Additionally, check out some of our great COVID-19 resource videos from faculty and staff, and scroll through the Clocktower Minutes to see some interesting news and notes from around campus.
