Welcome to our Winter/Spring 2020 Digital Magazine!

Dear Friends:

It is my pleasure to introduce the latest issue of the IU Southeast Digital Magazine! As you all are aware, we are still in the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the winter/spring magazine is traditionally a printed version, we decided to change it to a digital version to help showcase some of the great work we’re doing with COVID-19 testing and vaccinations on our campus. For those of you who enjoy the printed magazine, fear not! We will return to our normal magazine schedule very soon.

In this issue, you will find a multimedia article about the various ways our School of Nursing has stepped up to provide mitigation, asymptomatic and symptomatic COVID-19 testing for our campus. They have also been a crucial component in the recently established COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the IU Southeast community. We are extremely proud of our nursing students and faculty for playing such a vital role in vanquishing this virus from our community.

In addition, you’ll find articles about an alumnus who was recently selected for a very important position in the southern Indiana community, one of our generous donors who has committed a gift to support the arts on campus, an overview of the conclusion of our Bicentennial Campaign, which raised more than $17 million, and more!

I know this past year has been very difficult for everyone, and this virus continues to challenge us, but as we look to the future, I am confident that we will continue to persevere.
