As part of the 2019 Louisville Photo Biennial, please join IU Southeast Chancellor Ray Wallace for an opening night reception of his photographic journey through Yellowstone National Park and experience his stunning wildlife and landscape captures. This event is free and open to the public.

Guest Speaker Judy Shepard

In 1998, Judy lost her son Matthew, a student at the University of Wyoming, to a murder motivated by anti-gay hate that shocked and captivated the nation. The case serves as the basis for the play "The Laramie Project." Judy Shepard draws from personal tragedy to promote a greater understanding of LGBTQ issues and empower audiences to embrace human dignity and diversity through outreach and advocacy in their own communities. This event is free and open to the public.

Bicentennial Marker Dedication Ceremony

In honor of the Indiana University Bicentennial, we will be dedicating a historical marker on campus to recognize Lyda Jeannetta Radford. Radford was the first student to enroll at Indiana University

IU Southeast is proud to present two internationally acclaimed photographers. Jess Lee is a contributor to thousands of publications including covers on National Geographic, National Wildlife and many others. Tamara Gooch has been voted one of the top three equine photographers in the world. Lee and Gooch will discuss their diverse professional lives as photographers and show many of their award-winning images from around the world.

Get ready for a slithery show and tell. "Herps Alive!" is an interactive program designed to allow kids of all ages to get up close and personal with all sorts of reptiles, amphibians and other animals. The show is free and open to the public.

Armistice Day Ceremony

Armistice Day is commemorated to mark the armistice signed between the allies of World War I and Germany. The cessation of hostilities is remembered by bells ringing at eleven o'clock in the morning, on the eleventh day, of the eleventh month.

Veterans Day Luncheon

Hoosier Room, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

For those who have risked their lives for our freedom, IU Southeast and Duke Energy will honor veterans who have served and are currently serving our country. The free luncheon for veterans and their guests will occur at 11:30 a.m. in the Hoosier Room.
