Meet the Class of 2021

Indiana University Southeast welcomed 927 new freshman to campus last fall.

As part of IU Southeast’s initiative to develop flexible evening and online programs for adult and working students, the number of non-traditional students (age 25 or older) enrolled has grown 11 percent from 2016 among new admits, while the number of enrolled graduate students has increased 7 percent.

Undergraduates taking 15 or more credit hours a semester has increased by 5.6 percent, reflecting the university’s efforts to encourage students to graduate on time.

“IU Southeast’s endeavors towards attracting a greater number of working adults and graduate students are coming to fruition,” Chancellor Ray Wallace said. “Additionally, I am encouraged by the ever-growing segment of our student body who have committed themselves to graduating in four years, thus minimizing the amount of debt incurred and readying them for the professional workforce earlier.”
